emirates7 - The scholars and guests of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan have visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, a great urban landmark that has become one of the UAE's edifices.

Dr. Mohammad Mattar Al Kaabi, Chairman of the UAE General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments, accompanied the scholars during the visit.

The scholars toured the mosque and hailed the state-of-the-art architecture of the mosque, which blends the authenticity of the Islamic heritage and the local one, while keeping up with the latest trends in construction.

The UAE President's guest scholars prayed to Allah Almighty to bless the soul of the UAE's Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan with mercy in Paradise and hailed his achievements, wisdom and humanitarian initiatives which had benefited his people, Arabs, Muslims as well as the peoples of all countries.

The guest scholars commended the development in the UAE under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; and Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and the Rulers of the Emirates.
