Scorching temperatures set to reach 46°C in inland areas

emirates7 - The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a warning about a heatwave sweeping across the UAE, with inland areas expected to experience extreme temperatures ranging from 42°C to 46°C in the coming days.

Coastal zones and islands will also face high temperatures, with daytime highs between 38°C and 42°C. Meanwhile, mountainous regions will remain relatively cooler, with temperatures ranging from 35°C to 39°C.

The forecast predicts generally clear to partly cloudy skies, particularly over eastern areas. Winds will be light to moderate, blowing from the southwest to northwest at speeds between 10 and 25 km/h, occasionally picking up to 35 km/h during the day.

Sea conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are expected to remain slight, with little impact on marine activities.

Authorities urge residents to stay well-hydrated, minimize exposure to direct sunlight, and adhere to official health and safety recommendations during the hottest parts of the day.
