UAE showcases creativity at Maison & Objet Paris Fair

emirates7 - The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority has successfully concluded its participation in the Maison & Objet Paris Fair, a prominent international event dedicated to design, décor, furniture, tableware, and lifestyle. The fair took place in Paris over the course of a week.

As part of the 'UAE Design Oasis' initiative, the UAE pavilion offered a distinctive platform to highlight the work of 15 emerging Emirati designers. These talented individuals showcased innovative creations that seamlessly blended authentic Emirati heritage with contemporary design, reflecting the UAE’s commitment to celebrating its cultural identity through modern and creative expressions.

The Emirati contributions included an eclectic mix of furniture designs, artworks inspired by the local environment, and household items enriched with elements of Emirati tradition.

In an interview with the Emirates News Agency (WAM) in Paris, Khaloud Khouri, Design Projects Manager at the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, stated that the Authority's involvement aligns with Dubai’s strategy to enhance the UAE's cultural and creative sectors. She emphasized that the event provides a unique international platform for young Emirati designers to present their talents to a global audience, reinforcing the UAE’s presence in the fields of design and creativity.
