Dubai Culture to take part in Maison&Objet in Paris

emirates7 - The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) has announced its involvement in the Maison&Objet Paris trade fair, where it will present the UAE Design Oasis from January 16 to 20, 2025.

The UAE Design Oasis, part of the Dubai Cultural Grant Programme and the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy, will feature the work of 15 UAE-based designers at this prestigious event dedicated to home décor and lifestyle.

This initiative underscores Dubai Culture’s dedication to fostering the city’s cultural and creative industries by offering designers international platforms to showcase their talent, further establishing Dubai as a leading global hub for the creative economy.

Dr. Saeed Mubarak bin Kharbash, CEO of the Arts, Design and Literature Sector at Dubai Culture, highlighted the design sector's pivotal role in enhancing Dubai's global reputation as a center for creativity.

He remarked, “Dubai Culture has prioritized the design sector, focusing on initiatives and projects that boost its competitiveness and inspire designers to explore new frontiers.”

He also emphasized that Maison&Objet is a prominent global stage for showcasing the creativity of UAE-based designers, reflecting Dubai's dynamic cultural environment and its support for creative start-ups and innovative endeavors.

The featured designs will include a wide range of furniture, homeware, and products that seamlessly combine traditional craftsmanship with modern design. Notable pieces include glass sculptures, furniture inspired by palm fronds, tables made from compressed soil, and other sustainable, innovative creations.
