emirates7 - The Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences has announced the launch of the third edition of the Hamdan EFQM Global Educational Award, in collaboration with EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management).
The award aims to improve the quality of education and outcomes in schools across the UAE and globally, by applying the standards and pillars of the Hamdan EFQM Global Model, developed by an international team of experts using best global practices.
The implementation of the award will take place in two phases. The first phase, which runs until January 2025, focuses on training teachers, where participating schools will be instructed on the standards of the Hamdan EFQM Global Model.
The second phase, from January to March 2025, involves the evaluation of schools through on-site visits to assess their performance based on the established criteria. The results of these assessments will be announced in 2025.
Six UAE schools will participate, including Zayed Educational Complex-Al Barsha, Dubai Modern Education School, Al Manar Model School (Cycle Two) for Girls in Sharjah, Um Ghafa School in Al Ain, Zayed Educational Complex – Dibba Al Fujairah, and Zayed Educational Complex – Al Muntazah in Ajman. Additionally, Qatar Science and Technology School from Doha, Qatar, will also participate.
