Al Qasimia University, Kazakhstan's Al-Farabi University strengthen academic ties

emirates7 - Al Qasimia University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Al-Farabi National University in Kazakhstan, aimed at strengthening academic connections and expanding collaborative research across multiple disciplines.

The partnership seeks to enhance expertise sharing, joint studies, and research initiatives between the two universities.

The MoU signing took place at Al-Farabi National University’s campus in Almaty, Astana, with Professor Awad Al-Khalaf signing for Al Qasimia University and Professor Yerkin Duyssenov, First Vice-President of Al-Farabi National University, signing on behalf of the Kazakh institution. Senior faculty and administrative members from both universities attended the event.

The agreement includes provisions for faculty exchanges, student visits, shared academic publications, and joint scientific and cultural activities. Additionally, the institutions will collaborate on training programs and co-supervise academic theses, aiming to elevate research quality and encourage academic exchange.

Professor Awad Al-Khalaf, Director of Al Qasimia University, emphasized the significance of this agreement, noting that it aligns with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah and founder of Al Qasimia University, to promote global academic engagement and scientific collaboration.

He highlighted Al Qasimia University’s commitment to building knowledge bridges and fostering academic partnerships with universities around the world, supporting the exchange and dissemination of scholarly information.

Professor Duyssenov described the partnership with Al Qasimia University as a valuable opportunity to share academic knowledge and expertise. He affirmed that Al-Farabi National University appreciates its relationships with renowned institutions like Al Qasimia, known for promoting balanced and moderate values in the region.

Duyssenov expressed optimism that the collaboration, which spans various academic and research areas, would benefit from Al Qasimia University’s expertise in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, supporting curriculum development and fostering shared educational opportunities.
