emirates7 - H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, attended the launch of the emirate’s first fully integrated digital government services centre.
Developed by the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, the centre introduces a national-first model for delivering smart government services through artificial intelligence, virtual reality, metaverse, and blockchain technologies—entirely without human involvement.
H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Al Sharqi stated, “We are proud to inaugurate the virtual digital services centre in Fujairah, a step aligned with our leadership’s vision of establishing a forward-thinking, innovation-driven government. This centre enhances service accessibility and quality of life for both citizens and residents. It is a leading example of advanced digital government and reflects the UAE’s strength in embracing emerging technologies to maintain its global leadership in digital transformation.”
He further commended the Ministry’s role in building a unified digital infrastructure that boosts government performance, enhances customer satisfaction, and supports Fujairah’s role in sustainable national development.
Eng. Sharif Al Olama, Undersecretary for Energy and Petroleum Affairs, described the centre as a breakthrough in service delivery—using AI and hologram technologies to a scalable model that can be replicated across the UAE. He noted that the initiative supports balanced development and reflects the Ministry’s commitment to a user-centric, digitally integrated government, in line with the ‘We the UAE 2031’ vision and the broader smart governance shift.
Al Olama also emphasized that this centre aligns with the National Strategy for Government Services, launched by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, which aims to make the UAE a global leader in innovative and efficient public service delivery.
Eng. Mohammed bin Taliah, Chief of Government Services for the UAE Government, highlighted the centre’s role as a milestone in the nation's digital transformation. It showcases the government’s capacity to adopt next-generation technologies and deliver superior customer experiences that reflect the UAE’s ambitions for excellence in public services.
He added, “This centre acts as a dynamic platform where users can actively participate in improving services by sharing ideas and feedback through innovative channels. It encourages collaboration among government entities, fosters public engagement, and enables a responsive, adaptable government.”
The launch is part of a broader initiative by the Ministry to expand this model nationwide, aligning with the UAE Government Services Strategy and the updated Government Services Development Guide 2.0. The centre offers over 150 digital services and aims to serve more than 20,000 users each year.
By integrating smart systems to streamline operations and support data-driven governance, the centre brings together services from the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and various federal and local partners in Fujairah, delivering them through a single, cohesive digital platform. This simplifies procedures, reduces service time, and enhances user experience in line with the people-centric smart government vision.
To commemorate the inauguration, the Ministry, in partnership with Emirates Post, issued a special stamp honouring H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah.
