emirates7 - Dubai welcomed more than 9.88 million international visitors in the first half of 2025, reflecting a 6% growth compared to the same period in 2024, according to the latest figures from the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET).
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence, credited this milestone to the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. He noted that the achievement aligns with the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to position the city among the top three global tourist destinations.
“This accomplishment is the result of robust collaboration between the public and private sectors, alongside a highly effective global promotional strategy. We extend a heartfelt welcome to all our visitors—from the heart of the world, Dubai,” Sheikh Hamdan shared on X.
In 2024, Dubai had already set a new benchmark by attracting 18.72 million international overnight visitors between January and December, marking a 9% year-on-year rise and surpassing the previous record of 17.15 million in 2023.
With its prime location bridging East and West, outstanding global connectivity, and state-of-the-art infrastructure, Dubai continues to strengthen its reputation as a leading destination for international travelers.
