UAE delivers 65 tonnes of medical supplies to Gaza in cooperation with WHO

emirates7 - As part of its ongoing humanitarian mission and in coordination with the World Health Organization (WHO), the UAE has delivered a new shipment of critical medicines and medical supplies to WHO warehouses, ahead of their distribution to hospitals throughout the Gaza Strip. This aid comes in response to the ongoing collapse of the healthcare system due to the prolonged blockade.

The shipment, delivered today, consists of 11 trucks carrying around 65 tonnes of essential medications. It includes life-saving drugs and urgent supplies tailored to meet the pressing needs of health facilities currently operating in the region.

WHO officials commended the UAE as a leading contributor to Gaza’s healthcare sector and stressed the importance of strengthening international cooperation to provide swift humanitarian relief.

The organisation noted that the assistance will play a vital role in alleviating the severe shortage of medicines and improving the capacity of hospitals and clinics to meet the rising demand for medical care.

Through Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, the UAE continues to extend comprehensive support to Gaza in areas such as food, shelter, education, and healthcare—reaffirming its enduring commitment to the Palestinian people.
