emirates7 - Motorists in Abu Dhabi are advised to drive with caution this morning due to dense fog expected to reduce visibility until 8:30 a.m., according to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).
The NCM has issued red and yellow alerts warning of low visibility in affected areas. Abu Dhabi Police also issued a safety advisory on social media, reminding drivers that the maximum speed limit during foggy conditions is 80 km/h and urging adherence to this limit to ensure road safety.
As for the forecast, the weather is expected to be generally fair to partly cloudy and hazy during the day. There is a possibility of convective clouds forming in the eastern and southern regions, which could lead to scattered rainfall, particularly in areas such as Al Ain and parts of Dubai. These conditions are due to a weak surface low-pressure system moving in from the east, along with the influence of an upper-level high-pressure system.
Temperatures will remain high, with daytime highs ranging from 44°C to 49°C and nighttime lows between 32°C and 37°C, according to AccuWeather.
Humidity is expected to rise tonight and into Monday morning, increasing the chance of mist formation over some coastal and inland areas in the west. Winds will be light to moderate, at times becoming active and raising dust. Sea conditions will remain slight to moderate in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
