emirates7 - The Emergencies, Crises and Disasters Management Centre – Abu Dhabi (ADCMC) has activated its Coordination and Monitoring Centre in the Al Ain region, aiming to enhance the emirate’s readiness and response to emergencies, while improving coordination with key partners and stakeholders.
This new centre represents a major element of ADCMC’s strategic expansion plan, extending its geographical coverage and strengthening field-level coordination. As a vital support hub for the main operations centre in Abu Dhabi, the Al Ain facility will allow for quicker response times and more efficient, localised decision-making during critical situations.
Dr. Abdulla Hamarain Al Dhaheri, Executive Director of the Response and Recovery Sector at ADCMC, described the launch as a significant step in advancing Abu Dhabi’s crisis management capabilities. He said it reflects the government's broader vision of creating a modern, integrated, and responsive emergency management system. The proactive approach, he noted, depends on strong collaboration with relevant entities to ensure optimal preparedness and coordination in the field.
Al Dhaheri highlighted that the Al Ain centre is a vital part of a larger effort to boost resilience and speed up emergency responses, stressing that effective coordination on the ground is essential to managing crises successfully.
He added that the centre will significantly strengthen emergency response capabilities in the Al Ain region and maintain constant operational readiness.
ADCMC remains central to Abu Dhabi’s efforts to build a robust emergency response system. It leads the development and execution of comprehensive strategies, plans, and policies for emergency management, working closely with local entities and strategic partners.
