emirates7 - Khawla Art and Culture is hosting an exhibition titled "A Vibrant Land", showcasing the work of professional Emirati photographer and documentary filmmaker Ali bin Thalith.
Running until 16th June, 2022, the exhibition is showcasing the wildlife scenes photographed by Ali bin Thalith.
Sheikha Khawla bint Ahmed Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Founder of Khawla Art and Culture and wife of H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, said the exhibition highlights the role of the foundation in supporting all types of arts and talents while showcasing Emirati arts and culture.
Photography is the art of seizing the moment and capturing an artistic photograph, she said. The exhibition was organised to invest in the creativity of artist Ali bin Thalith in capturing natural scenes in the UAE, representing the basic elements of local culture and heritage, she added.
In her statement to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), Dr. Lamees Al Qaisi, Director-General of Khawla Art and Culture, said the foundation supports the creative and art community.
Rayan Hakki, Deputy Director-General of the Foundation, said the event is taking place to support arts and talent, and sharpen the skills of young talent while highlighting the foundation’s keenness to support talent of all age groups within and outside the country.
The foundation is keen to include the art of photography in its various programmes and calls on students, art loves and photographers to visit the event and explore the outstanding showcased works, Hakki added.
Several visitors highlighted the importance of the event, which enabled them to learn about the basics of photography.
