Temperatures to soar up to 46°C on Thursday

emirates7 - Residents across the UAE are preparing for an extremely hot day, as the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) predicts mostly clear to partly cloudy skies, especially in eastern areas.

Temperatures are forecast to soar, reaching up to 46°C in inland regions. Coastal and island areas are expected to see highs between 38°C and 42°C, while even mountainous zones won’t escape the heat, with temperatures expected to rise to 39°C.

Winds will vary from northwest to southwest, blowing at light to moderate speeds of 10 to 25 km/h, occasionally picking up to 35 km/h during the daytime. Sea conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are expected to remain generally calm.

Authorities are advising residents to stay well-hydrated, avoid sun exposure during peak heat hours, and take necessary precautions to protect themselves from the intense temperatures.
