emirates7 - The Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence, affiliated to the Sharjah Education Council, launched the Al Jawhara Award at a ceremony to launch its new strategy on the start of the twenty-eighth edition.

The ceremony expressed the new vision of the Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence, as the first educational award at the state level, and its launch under the generous patronage of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, with new developments, standards and categories, each with its own distinctive features.

The new strategy for the award, which the Sharjah Educational Excellence Award sought to work with, included the development of all categories to be centered on three main categories: (the category of distinguished individuals) and the category (distinguished institutions) and the category that was created for this edition within a well-studied strategy, which is (the category of distinguished work teams).

Dr. Saeed Musabah Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Sharjah Education Council, revealed the launch of Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence with an exceptional and new award, "Al Jawhara Award", which is to reward distinguished people who have done exceptional work.

The name of this award is in appreciation and honour of the unlimited giving of H.H. Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, and Her Highness’s great role towards culture and knowledge, along with Her Highness’s continuous and sincere efforts in science and education.

The ceremony highlighted twenty-eight years, during which the award evolved year after year and was characterised by the victory of many distinguished and many outstanding people, all of whom left an imprint and were role models for others in the path of excellence.

The award continues its distinguished process to achieve its lofty goal in spreading the culture of excellence and creativity in the educational field in its various areas.
