Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, highlighted the important role of charitable and humanitarian initiatives in fostering a united society. These initiatives, he stated, help instill hope and reinforce values of solidarity and cooperation, ultimately building a better future for future generations. He emphasized that giving is not only a virtuous act but also a source of happiness and fulfillment.

Sheikh Saud made these comments while attending the 14th edition of the RAK Terry Fox Run on Saturday, an event dedicated to supporting cancer research. The event, held along Corniche Al Qawasim, attracted many community participants.

The Ruler further emphasized that such charitable efforts in Ras Al Khaimah significantly contribute to promoting cooperation and unity within the community, reflecting the core values of the UAE people. He acknowledged that the collective efforts of all involved demonstrate the community's commitment to supporting humanitarian causes and achieving shared goals.

He praised the race’s objectives, which focus on advancing research and innovation in cancer treatment, raising public awareness, promoting health, and enhancing the quality of life. He expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event.

The race, a key annual event in Ras Al Khaimah, is held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi and in collaboration with the Saqr Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Charity and Humanitarian Foundation. The event's proceeds are directed toward the University of Sharjah, which conducts specialized cancer research. The Terry Fox Run is a global non-competitive charity event, honoring Canadian cancer activist Terry Fox and his Marathon of Hope, aimed at raising funds for cancer research.
