ADJD highlights role of awareness-raising at Sharjah International Book Fair

emirates7 - The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) is participating in the 43rd Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF), being held at the Sharjah Expo Centre until 17th November 2024.

The ADJD's involvement aims to promote legal knowledge and raise awareness within the community, reinforcing the foundations of sustainable development and justice. This initiative is in line with the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the ADJD, who has emphasized the importance of promoting legal culture through participation in cultural and community events to reach a broad audience.

At the fair, the ADJD is showcasing the services of the Abu Dhabi Centre for Community and Legal Awareness (Masouliya), which focuses on awareness campaigns that encourage behaviours aligned with community values and principles. These initiatives highlight the preventive role in reducing risks such as cybercrimes and explain the legal consequences of committing such offences, creating a secure and protective environment.

The ADJD is also presenting the services offered by the juvenile care centres within the Correctional and Rehabilitation Centres Sector, which feature innovative initiatives aligned with international best practices. These initiatives aim to rehabilitate and guide juveniles, fostering positive values, reshaping behaviours, and enhancing skills and knowledge through vocational workshops and cultural programmes to support rehabilitation and reform.

Additionally, the Judicial Department is offering visitors copies of legal publications, including a comprehensive collection of updated legislation, laws, and specialized research designed to enrich judicial work, track judicial interpretations, and stay current with legislative developments.
