Sharjah Ruler orders AED6mn to organise camel festival emirates7 - H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, ordered AED6 million to hold a camel racing festival in Al Dhaid Square during the 2022-2023 season. The Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) extended its highest thanks and appreciation to His Highness for the generous support, in which Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the SSC, expressed the gratitude of the athletes and enthusiasts of heritage sports for the support, stressing that it is an important qualitative addition to sports and athletes in Sharjah, and will enhance the ancient Arab heritage of camel racing in the UAE.
