emirates7 - The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has predicted a notable temperature across the UAE today, alongside dusty to partly cloudy skies and strong northwesterly winds.
Temperatures during the day are expected to range between 36°C and 40°C in inland areas, 33°C to 37°C along the coast and islands, and 31°C to 36°C in mountainous regions. This cooler spell comes after a particularly hot day yesterday, with Fujairah International Airport recording the highest temperature in the country at 46°C at 2:50 pm.
Winds will be moderate to strong, at times reaching speeds of up to 50 km/h, which could lead to blowing and suspended dust and sand, reducing visibility in some areas.
Additionally, the NCM has issued a marine alert for the Arabian Gulf, warning of rough to very rough seas caused by ongoing northwesterly winds. Wave heights could rise up to 9 feet, with the advisory remaining in effect until 12:00 pm on May 8. Authorities are urging the public, especially those at sea, to remain vigilant.
