Held at the Ruler Representative’s Court in Al Ain, the meeting highlighted ACTVET’s ongoing initiatives and programmes aimed at enhancing technical and vocational training across the Al Ain Region. These efforts are focused on equipping Emirati youth with the necessary technical and professional skills to meet both current and future demands of the local labour market.
Discussions also covered the centre’s long-term strategy, including the expansion of Applied Technology Schools, and enhancements to academic programmes at institutions such as Fatima College of Health Sciences, Abu Dhabi Polytechnic, and the Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute (ADVETI). Further topics included the integration of artificial intelligence into training and the extension of evening education opportunities.
Sheikh Hazza underscored the crucial role of technical and vocational education in cultivating local talent, encouraging innovation, and supporting the UAE’s shift toward a knowledge-based economy. He stressed the importance of leveraging advanced technologies in alignment with the vision of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to position the UAE as a leader in this evolving field and to empower Emirati youth to actively contribute to sustainable economic and social progress in the Al Ain Region.
