France Pavilion celebrates International Francophonie Day at Expo 2020 Dubai
emirates7 - Zaki Nusseibeh, Cultural Adviser to the UAE President and Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), emphasised that Expo 2020 Dubai has proven to be a global platform, especially as it succeeded in uniting the world to debate all important matters in the world.

He made this statement during a ceremony marking International Francophonie Day, which was organised by the France Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, in the presence of Raja Rabia, Consul-General of France in Dubai, Erik Linquier, Commissioner-General for France at Expo 2020 Dubai and President of COFREX French Exhibition Company, and a number of officials from French-speaking countries.

Nusseibeh expressed his delight at celebrating International Francophonie Day at Expo 2020 Dubai, and highlighted the UAE's membership in the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF), noting that the country is home to the Louvre Abu Dhabi, Sorbonne University and several other French educational institutions.

For her part, the French Consul-General highlighted the distinguished partnership between the two countries and lauded the active role the UAE plays at the OIF.

Linquier commended the great care the UAE shows to citizens of OIF Member States.
