TRENDS launches Virtual Office in Paris

emirates7 - TRENDS Research & Advisory has inaugurated its Virtual Office in Paris, marking a significant step toward strengthening knowledge exchange between regional and global think tanks. This initiative aligns with the centre’s broader research agenda, which emphasizes producing influential insights, especially in the field of foresight studies.

Equipped with cutting-edge digital infrastructure, the new office enables the hosting of virtual academic events and forums, and supports the creation of varied knowledge content in both Arabic and French. This content will be distributed through TRENDS’ digital channels.

The virtual launch event brought together a distinguished group of researchers, international collaborators, and representatives from academic and intellectual circles in both France and the Arab world. The ceremony included a presentation outlining the office’s goals and upcoming initiatives.

The Paris office is designed to foster academic integration by building strong partnerships between think tanks, research centres, and universities across the Arab region and Francophone countries. It also aims to facilitate joint research ventures and knowledge exchange, with a focus on collaboration with France as a central player in the Francophone research community.

Another key objective is to monitor and assess French-language research output—especially in areas such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence, geopolitical developments, and socio-environmental challenges—and make it more accessible to Arabic-speaking audiences through translation and simplification.

The office will also promote collaborative translation and publishing projects, encouraging the exchange of high-calibre books and academic studies between Arabic and French to boost intellectual dialogue and cultural understanding.

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS, described the launch of the Paris office as a groundbreaking move that enriches the global research ecosystem and enhances international academic cooperation. He noted that this step highlights the centre’s dedication to fostering scientific inquiry, innovation, and the use of knowledge as a key driver of sustainable development and human advancement.
