emirates7 - The Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) has been honoured as the ‘Global Leader in Social Responsibility’ at The International CSR Excellence Awards, securing the gold award in the ‘Community Engagement for Government Entities’ category after competing with over 300 entries worldwide.
This accolade highlights PCFC’s dedication to sustainable development and enhancing quality of life through its annual social responsibility plan and innovative community programs.
Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of PCFC, explained that the declaration of 2025 as the ‘Year of Community’ motivated the Corporation to expand impactful initiatives. “We launched sustainable projects targeting various segments of society, promoting a culture of generosity and unity both within the UAE and globally,” he said.
He added, “Receiving this award serves as global recognition of our commitment to social responsibility and embodies our leadership’s vision for a unified and thriving society. It encourages us to keep innovating in support of our community.”
Bin Sulayem also emphasized that this achievement highlights the UAE’s long-standing tradition in humanitarian and social efforts and marks a major milestone for Dubai on the international stage.
Nasser Al Neyadi, PCFC CEO, noted that the award acknowledges the Corporation’s meaningful initiatives that uphold human dignity and support Dubai’s goal of becoming a sustainable economic centre under the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
“At PCFC, we continuously expand our charitable, environmental, and humanitarian efforts to address the evolving needs of the community. Our partnerships with local and international organizations ensure these initiatives lasting positive effects,” he said.
