emirates7 - For the third consecutive year, the Muslim Council of Elders will participate in the New Delhi World Book Fair (NDWBF 2025), taking place from February 1st to 9th, 2025, at the Bharat Mandapam Convention Center in New Delhi, India. This participation is part of the Council’s mission to promote peace, dialogue, tolerance, and cooperation among different cultures.
The Council’s pavilion will feature over 250 intellectual and cultural publications, including new releases from Al-Hokama Publishing for 2025, such as "Religion and the Nations of Greater Asia: Managing Religious and Ethnic Pluralism in China and India," "Peace in Africa: Studies and Visions for Enhancing Stability and Development," and "International Peacebuilding: Shared Values and Foundational Concepts," among others. Additionally, Mohamed Al-Benyaydi's book "Islam and the West: An Approach to Causes of Conflict and Monitoring the Conditions of Cultural Exchange" will also be featured.
The pavilion will also showcase new works like "The Quran’s Discourse on Humanity" by Ali Mohamed Hassan Al-Amari, "Imam al-Haramayn and His Influence on the Development of the Ash'ari School" by Ali Mohamed Jaber, and "Conflict Management in the Muslim World" by Dr. Idris Qasim. Other notable titles include "Islamic Principles on Family Organization" by Abu Al-Wafa Al-Maraghi and "Problems of the Ummah’s Division into Sunnis and Shiites" by Dr. Elias Belka.
The pavilion will also highlight over 20 works by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, including "Al-Qawl Al-Tayyib," "A View on East-West Dialogue," and "Insights into the Thought of Imam Al-Ash'ari," among others.
The Council will present several other important publications, including "Love in the Holy Quran" by HRH Prince Ghazi Bin Muhammad and "The Grand Imam and the Pope: A Thorny Path" by Judge Mohamed Abdelsalam. Other key books include "Muslims at a Crossroads" by Dr. Mahmoud Hamdy Zaqzouq and "Interfaith Encounters in Al-Andalus and Morocco" by Dr. Jaafar ben El Haj Soulami.
Recognizing the importance of translation in fostering cross-cultural dialogue, the Council will display 21 books in Hindi, Urdu, and Malay, including six new releases for 2025, such as "Concern for Female Rights" and "Freedom and Citizenship: Diversity and Integration."
In addition to the book display, the Muslim Council of Elders will organize a series of seminars aimed at promoting social cohesion, environmental responsibility, and the role of religions in addressing global challenges. The seminars include "Utilizing Social Media to Promote Peace and Combat Extremism among Youth" on February 2nd, "The Document on Human Fraternity: A Foundation for Tolerance and Coexistence" on February 4th (International Day of Human Fraternity), and "Faith and the Environment: Shared Responsibilities for a Sustainable Future" on February 7th, 2025.
