Shakhboot bin Nahyan heads UAE delegation at African Energy Summit in Tanzania

emirates7 - Representing President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, led the UAE delegation at the African Heads of State Energy Summit held in Dar es Salaam, the capital of the United Republic of Tanzania.

Organized by the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the World Bank in collaboration with the African Union, the summit was held under the theme *"Lighting Africa: The Transformative Power of Mission 300."* The event focused on advancing the *Mission 300* initiative, which aims to provide energy access to 300 million people in Africa by 2030, addressing the continent’s ongoing energy crisis that affects approximately 600 million individuals.

This year’s summit featured a series of sessions and workshops attended by heads of state, ministers, regional and international financial institutions, and global stakeholders. Discussions centered on strategies and solutions to ensure safe and reliable energy access across Africa.

On the sidelines of the summit, His Excellency Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan held bilateral meetings with President Samia Suluhu Hassan of the United Republic of Tanzania; President Dr. William Samoei Ruto of the Republic of Kenya; President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; and President Hassan Sheikh Mohamudof the Federal Republic of Somalia.

The UAE’s participation in the summit underscores its commitment to fostering international cooperation and partnerships aimed at achieving sustainable development goals and expanding energy access across Africa.
