Muslim Council of Elders to participate in Cairo International Book Fair

emirates7 - The Muslim Council of Elders is participating in the 56th Cairo International Book Fair, taking place from January 23 to February 5, 2025, under the theme "Read… In the Beginning, It Was the Word" in Cairo, Egypt.

The Council's involvement reflects its mission to promote peace, dialogue, tolerance, and cooperation, as well as foster coexistence.

At the fair, the Muslim Council of Elders will present more than 250 intellectual and cultural publications, including several new releases from Al-Hokama Publishing for 2025.

This participation aligns with the Council’s plans to organize the Intra-Islamic Dialogue Conference in February, as part of an initiative led by His Eminence Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Council. The conference aims to strengthen Islamic unity and emphasize religious fraternity as the foundation for human solidarity.

The Council’s pavilion will highlight several works focused on this theme, including over 20 publications by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb that explore the compassion of Islam and its intellectual and philosophical heritage.

Additionally, the pavilion will host more than 14 seminars featuring scholars, thinkers, and academics who will discuss important topics and issues.

The Cairo International Book Fair, one of the largest in the world, attracts around five million visitors each year. It plays a key role in preserving and enhancing cultural identity, offering readers the opportunity to explore their cultural heritage and the latest literary and intellectual works.
