Rise in temperatures across the country

emirates7 - Residents across the UAE can expect hot weather throughout June, with significant temperature increases in both coastal and inland regions. According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), conditions will generally be clear, though some partial cloud cover may appear at times, particularly over eastern areas.

The current weather pattern is the result of surface low pressure extending from the east meeting surface high pressure from the west, with an upper-level high-pressure system reinforcing this setup. This combination is contributing to stable conditions and intensifying heat across the country.

Daytime temperatures will be high, with coastal and island areas reaching between 36°C and 41°C. Inland regions will be even hotter, with temperatures ranging from 39°C to 44°C. Mountain areas will be slightly cooler but still warm, with highs between 34°C and 38°C.

Humidity will be high as well, especially during the night and early morning hours, reaching between 70% and 90%. Coastal areas are expected to feel particularly humid in the evening, potentially leading to the development of fog or mist late at night and into Monday morning, which may cause reduced visibility.

Northwesterly winds will blow at speeds between 10 and 25 km/h, occasionally strengthening to 40 km/h during the day. These gusts could stir up dust and sand in exposed inland areas, possibly affecting visibility and air quality.

At sea, conditions will vary. The Arabian Gulf may range from moderate to rough, while the Oman Sea is expected to remain moderate to slight. Authorities advise exercising caution during maritime activities, especially in the Arabian Gulf.
