Mohammed bin Rashid congratulates winner of Great Arab Minds Award in Natural Sciences

emirates7 - His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, has extended his congratulations to Professor Omar Yaghi, a Chemistry Professor at the University of California, Berkeley, for receiving the prestigious Great Arab Minds Award in Natural Sciences.

In a post on X, Sheikh Mohammed commended Professor Yaghi's remarkable contributions to reticular chemistry and highlighted the significance of his innovations in tackling critical global issues related to energy, water, and the environment.

Al Gergawi emphasized that the recognition aligns with Sheikh Mohammed's vision to honor and nurture exceptional Arab talent, particularly in the natural sciences, as part of a larger mission to promote innovation and excellence throughout the Arab world.

Professor Yaghi is renowned for pioneering reticular chemistry, a transformative field focused on assembling molecular building blocks into open frameworks using robust chemical bonds.
