UAEU funds 8 student research projects to support early childhood education

emirates7 - The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) has announced funding for eight student-led research projects through the Fatima Bint Mubarak Motherhood and Childhood Research Centre.

These initiatives focus on key areas such as early childhood education, maternal health, and child development, reflecting UAEU's commitment to fostering innovative solutions that enhance the well-being of mothers and children across the UAE.

The funded projects cover a variety of topics, including developing mobile apps to improve Arabic literacy in young children, employing digital tools for managing gestational diabetes, and examining food rejection patterns in children aged 2 to 7.

Other areas of research include analyzing the influence of environmental and social factors on child development, exploring comorbidities associated with autism spectrum disorder, and evaluating the effectiveness of positive discipline parenting programs in improving parental attitudes and practices.

These projects aim to address a range of challenges affecting childhood health and education, with the potential to deliver significant long-term benefits for future generations in the UAE.

Professor Ayesha Al Dhaheri, Advisor at the Vice Chancellor's Office, highlighted the importance of this initiative, stating, "UAEU’s support for these projects through the Fatima Bint Mubarak Motherhood and Childhood Research Centre underscores our commitment to advancing research that makes a tangible impact on society.
