NLA organises cultural session in Beijing highlighting UAE-China relations

emirates7 - The National Library and Archives (NLA) hosted a cultural session in Beijing to shed light on the historical and diplomatic ties between the United Arab Emirates and the People’s Republic of China.

During the event, a collection of key official documents and archival photographs was displayed, highlighting the depth and strength of the relationship between the two nations.

Iman Al Braiki from the NLA led the session, exploring the origins of diplomatic engagement between the UAE and China, which began shortly after the UAE's formation in December 1971. Diplomatic relations were formally established with the opening of the Chinese Embassy in Abu Dhabi, followed by the launch of the UAE Embassy in Beijing.

The session further emphasized that over the past 40 years, bilateral relations have grown extensively, now encompassing a wide range of areas including the economy, culture, education, energy, and innovation.
