emirates7 - The Ras Al Khaimah Department of Knowledge (RAK DOK) has introduced a Golden Visa programme for educators working in public and private schools across the Emirate. This programme allows eligible professionals to become self-sponsored and obtain long-term residency in the UAE.
Designed to attract and retain top talent in the education sector, the Golden Visa is available to school principals, teachers, and other educational leaders in Ras Al Khaimah.
“This initiative acknowledges the essential role educators play in enhancing the quality of education for students in Ras Al Khaimah,” said Dr. Abdulrahman Al Naqbi, a member of the RAK DOK Board. He further emphasized that the programme aligns with Ras Al Khaimah’s goal of establishing a world-class education system. By offering long-term residency to outstanding educators, the Emirate aims to foster an environment that supports talent and innovation, ultimately contributing to the continued success of students.
The programme is open to two key categories of educators:
- School Leaders, such as principals, vice principals, and school directors.
- Teachers, including all qualified educators currently employed in Ras Al Khaimah’s public and private schools.
RAK DOK, as the governing body for private education in the Emirate, has simplified the application process to ensure that applicants meet specific criteria, including:
- At least three years of residency and employment in Ras Al Khaimah.
- A relevant advanced degree.
- A proven track record of improving school performance.
Eligible educators must submit documents such as an official appointment letter, proof of qualifications, employment and residency records, and evidence of their contributions to school success. Once these documents are reviewed, RAK DOK will confirm eligibility and guide educators to visit the UAE Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICP) to complete their Golden Visa processing.
For more information, educators can visit the Ras Al Khaimah Educators Golden Visa website.
