ADJD showcases leading services for foreign community

emirates7 - The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD), in collaboration with the Australian Embassy in the UAE, hosted a workshop showcasing its advanced services tailored for the expatriate community.

This initiative is part of the ADJD's legal awareness committee’s efforts to educate non-Arabic-speaking foreigners about the latest digital innovations and promote a culture of legal knowledge. The event attracted a diverse audience from the expatriate community, aiming to enhance their understanding of the department's pioneering judicial and notarial services.

These services reflect a global benchmark for quality and innovation, aligned with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of ADJD. The focus is on fostering legal literacy, delivering world-class judicial and notarial solutions, and enhancing Abu Dhabi’s appeal as a competitive and investment-friendly destination.

Key topics discussed included Abu Dhabi’s Civil Marriage Law No. 14/2021 and its implications, alongside the establishment of the Civil Family Court. This court provides a streamlined and modern approach to addressing personal status matters for non-Arab residents efficiently and effectively.

The workshop also introduced attendees to the English Notary Services Bureau, a first in the Middle East, which simplifies legal documentation by expediting the certification of contracts and documents in English. This initiative boosts accessibility, service quality, and customer satisfaction.

Additionally, the session highlighted the Foreign Experts Court, established in 2019, to handle disputes involving commercial activities, foreign investors, and business-related conflicts. This specialized court issues rulings in both Arabic and English, further facilitating accessibility and reinforcing Abu Dhabi's position as a hub for global business and investment.
