Sharjah Learning Disabilities Conference launches its 4th edition

emirates7 - The Sharjah Center for Learning Disabilities (SCLD) recently launched its fourth Learning Disabilities Conference, titled "Shared Challenges, Innovative Solutions," under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. Held at the Sharjah Education Academy, the event was attended by Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, among other dignitaries.

The conference focuses on four main themes: assessment and diagnosis, scientific and technological research, support and empowerment, and educational interventions. It features 20 scientific papers and four workshops led by international experts, aiming to explore innovative strategies and tools for diagnosing and supporting students with learning disabilities. The initiative also aims to enhance teacher training programs and foster collaboration among local, Arab, and international experts in the field.

Key sponsors include the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry as the golden sponsor, with support from the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, Centro Sharjah Hotel, and Air Arabia. The event includes a notable agreement between SCLD and an Egyptian research team to develop a specialized assessment tool for young children at risk of learning disabilities.

Overall, the conference underscores Sharjah's commitment to advancing education and support services for individuals with learning challenges, aligning with UAE Vision 2071 and the UAE Centennial 2071 goals for educational excellence and inclusive development.
