ICO, Globalpharma send AED7 million worth of medicines to Africa

emirates7 - The International Charity Organisation (ICO) has announced the delivery of AED 7 million worth of medicines to Niger and Senegal, thanks to the generous support of Globalpharma, a subsidiary of Dubai Investment Group. These medicines will be distributed to hospitals and health centres in underprivileged and remote areas, as part of an agreement to improve healthcare access in these regions.

This humanitarian effort is in line with ICO’s ongoing orphans and healthcare campaign. Dr. Khaled Al Khaja, ICO's Executive Director, reiterated the organisation's commitment to aiding countries with healthcare challenges, noting his personal experience of witnessing the dire need for medical supplies in remote villages.

Dr. Al Khaja also expressed deep gratitude to Globalpharma for their significant contribution, which reflects the company's strong commitment to social responsibility and positive community impact.

Mohammed Saeed Al Raqbani, General Manager of Dubai Investments Industries & Masharie and Board Director of Globalpharma, voiced hope that the donated medicines would greatly improve healthcare conditions in remote areas and offer vital treatment to those in need.
