emirates7 - The Municipality and Planning Department - Ajman (MPDA) and TRENDS Research & Advisory have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation and enhance coordination between the two entities.
This agreement aims to promote continuous research in areas of mutual interest, focusing on conducting evidence-based research, field surveys, opinion polls, and training courses to benefit the community.
The MoU was signed by Noura Rashid Shattaf, MPDA’s Executive Director of the Strategy and Customer Happiness Sector, and Fahad Al Mahri, Head of the "TRENDS DUBAI" Sector, in the presence of numerous officials from both organizations.
Noura Shattaf expressed that MPDA seeks to foster positive partnerships with leading organizations in the fields of knowledge and research to exchange valuable experiences and apply them in policy-making, research, and consulting. She also acknowledged TRENDS’ esteemed position as a leading regional and international think tank.
According to Shattaf, the MoU will support specialized consultations and the development of research aimed at enhancing urban planning strategies, contributing to a sustainable society in line with Ajman Vision 2030. Both parties will also collaborate on knowledge exchange and skill development through workshops and training programs.
Fahad Al Mahri emphasized that the MoU reflects TRENDS’ dedication to sustainable development and building effective partnerships to share knowledge in urban planning and sustainable practices. He added that both MPDA and TRENDS are committed to conducting joint research and initiatives that serve the public, as well as working together on field surveys and opinion polls regarding government services like public health, the environment, and customer satisfaction.
The MoU outlines collaboration on joint research projects covering topics of common interest, such as social, political, and economic studies, as well as future trends. It also includes the exchange of experts and researchers, participation in research events, and contribution to publications. Additionally, both parties will organize joint activities such as conferences, seminars, and workshops, and will share publications, periodicals, and research reports.
