Ajman Municipality hosts 'Accelerating Sustainability' workshop for industrial facilities in emirate

emirates7 - The Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman, in collaboration with the United Nations Global Compact Foundation in the UAE, organized a workshop titled "Accelerating Sustainability: Addressing Sustainability Challenges and Sustainable Development Goals." The event aimed to support the UAE's sustainability objectives during the Year of Sustainability, with a particular focus on industrial facilities in the emirate.

Khaled Moeen Al Hosani, Executive Director of the Public Health and Environment Sector, highlighted the Department's commitment to holding regular meetings with industrial entities to promote sustainable practices aligned with current strategies and development goals. He stressed that collaborative efforts with various organizations are key to turning sustainability challenges into opportunities for success.

Al Hosani also noted that the workshop is part of the Department's broader strategy to achieve climate neutrality and improve air quality. He emphasized the importance of cooperation between government bodies and industrial sectors to meet sustainable development goals.

He further underscored Ajman's dedication to environmental sustainability, pointing to the Department's efforts to engage with experts and assist industrial facilities in meeting environmental objectives.

Several prominent speakers, including Joelle Jamal, CEO of Al Mithaq International Group, Farzana Hussein, and Adele, participated in the workshop, along with representatives from the Municipality and Planning Department and the Public Health and Environment Sector.
