100 diplomats join Ambassadors' Retreat to discuss effective partnerships for shaping future of governments

emirates7 - The 'Ambassadors' Retreat,' organized by the World Governments Summit Organisation (WGSO) in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, gathered over 100 ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions in the UAE. It served as a platform for exchanging best practices to enhance international cooperation aimed at shaping future governments. This initiative aligns with WGS efforts to foster collaboration and facilitate open dialogues addressing global developments while actively designing innovative solutions to overcome challenges.

The event was attended by key UAE government officials including Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the WGSO; Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development and The Future and Vice-Chair of the WGSO; and Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications and Vice-Chair of the WGSO. It brought together ambassadors and representatives from diplomatic missions in the UAE to discuss enhancing international cooperation.

Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi emphasized that the WGS serves as a major global platform transcending political differences, uniting governments, entrepreneurs, experts, and specialists in constructive dialogues aimed at shaping a better future for societies and future generations.

Omar Sultan Al Olama highlighted the significant milestones achieved by the World Governments Summit, emphasizing its role as a global hub for knowledge sharing among governments, focusing on leveraging innovation and technology to tackle global challenges. Since its inception, the WGS has attracted over 42,000 participants from 140 countries, including numerous heads of state and government, and has hosted over 1,800 interactive seminars and workshops.

Looking forward, the upcoming edition of the World Governments Summit in February 2025 will address themes such as effective governance, finance, crisis management, health challenges readiness, and future outlooks. It will feature over 200 speakers and engage participants from various international, regional, and governmental organizations.

The Ambassadors' Retreat featured interactive discussions where diplomats shared perspectives on enhancing international cooperation, exploring innovative solutions, and discussing diplomatic and governmental strategies to shape future global agendas.
