Dhahi Khalfan recognised as GCC Pioneer Social Work Personality for 2024

emirates7 - The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretariat General honored Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai, as the GCC Pioneer Social Work Personality for 2024 during an award ceremony in Doha, Qatar.

The event, attended by Jasem Mohamed Al-Budaiwi, Secretary General of the GCC, along with GCC ministers of social affairs, human resources, civil service, and various philanthropists, recognized Tamim’s significant contributions to community service across the GCC. He was awarded a commemorative shield and a certificate of appreciation for his leadership and impactful work in the region.

The GCC Secretary General noted that the event was a gesture of gratitude and recognition for the honorees' efforts in advancing the sustainable development goals of the GCC nations, and as encouragement for continued contributions to the progress of the region.

Dr. Mohammed Murad Abdulla, Director of the General Directorate of Security Conferences and Seminars, accepted the award on behalf of Lieutenant General Tamim. Tamim expressed his gratitude for the honor, stating that it serves as motivation to continue working towards the prosperity and advancement of Gulf societies.

In addition to Tamim, a number of individuals, institutions, and companies from various sectors, including labor, social development, and social work, were also honored for their outstanding contributions to the GCC.
