UAE Ambassador to UK visits young Emirati patients at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London

emirates7 - In celebration of Emirati Children’s Day, representatives from the UAE Embassy in the United Kingdom visited young Emirati patients undergoing care at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) in London. Mansoor Abdullah Abulhoul, the UAE Ambassador to the UK, Rawdha Al Otaiba, Deputy Head of Mission at the UAE Embassy in London, and diplomat Ahmed Al Abdouli, delighted the children and their families with some special gifts.

During the visit, Mansoor Abulhoul said, "On the occasion of Emirati Children’s Day, we wish all children a prosperous and healthy future, and look forward to the speedy recovery of the many brave, young heroes we met today."

The ties between GOSH and the UAE have grown even closer since 2014 when H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), provided a ₤60 million gift to open the Zayed Centre for Research into Rare Disease in Children (ZCR) in London. ZCR is a partnership between GOSH, University College London and Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
