RAK Ruler receives Harvard Kennedy School delegation

Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, affirmed that the human being is the focus of sustainable development in the UAE, and that education is a mainstay for limitless achievements over the next fifty years, reflecting the leadership's vision to continue advancing the UAE’s ranking in global competitiveness indicators.

''In the UAE, we have an integrated system for human-centric sustainable development, and this is a strategic direction that the UAE has adopted since the establishment of the Union. Today, we are following in the footsteps of the founding fathers, and we are realising this vision into a tangible reality. During the past fifty years, our country has witnessed exceptional achievements that confirmed the ability of the Emiratis to move forward on the path of success and progress, said H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi as he welcomed a delegation from the US Harvard Kennedy School, at his palace in Saqr bin Mohammed City, today.

H.H. welcomed the faculty and students of the US university and exchanged talks with them about the importance of education in improving the quality of human life.

"Ambition of the UAE people the sky's the limit and the wise leadership is keen to provide all enablers of empowerment and success in order to move forward towards another 50 years of successes and achievements," H.H. added.

During the meeting, H.H. answered the students' questions and inquiries related to their studies and research on the economy, politics, investment, tourism and various development issues of interest to the region and the world.

For their part, members of the US academic delegation expressed their deep thanks and appreciation to the ruler of Ras Al Khaimah for the generous hospitality and warm reception.
