emirates7 - The Supreme Organising Committee of the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Al Wathba has revealed the exciting programme for the New Year's Eve 2025 celebrations.
The event will feature spectacular fireworks, drone displays, and light and laser technology shows, offering over an hour of continuous entertainment. These performances aim to set six new Guinness World Records.
The fireworks displays will begin at 6:00 pm, with additional shows scheduled on the hour every hour until midnight.
At the stroke of midnight, a grand fireworks will light up the sky for a record-breaking 53 minutes, setting new records for duration, continuity, and creative formations.
Before the grand fireworks, 6,000 drones will perform for 20 minutes starting at 11:40 pm, featuring dynamic, artistic visuals, including a record-breaking display where 3,000 drones will form the largest image ever created and a "HAPPY NEW YEAR" message.
The Emirates Fountain stage, with 4,000 nozzles, will host an extraordinary laser and light show, using 80 advanced laser systems to illuminate the Al Wathba skyline with vibrant colours and music. Over 100,000 balloons will also be released into the sky, adding to the spectacle.
From 2:00 pm, traditional bands will perform in the Heritage Village Square, the Department of Culture and Tourism Pavilion, and other festival venues, featuring Al Ayala, Al Razfa, and Al Naddba, with 600 performers offering live artistic experiences throughout the day.
Country pavilions will celebrate the New Year with carnivals and folkloric performances, while family-friendly activities, such as performances at the Kids' Theater and a 130-game amusement park, will entertain visitors of all ages.
In addition, 3,000 square metres of digital screens will enhance the atmosphere of the festival.
The committee announced that the festival gates will open at 2:00 pm, and visitors are encouraged to book tickets in advance. The gates will close once the venue reaches capacity. For those unable to attend, large outdoor screens will broadcast the celebrations live.
