Emirati Saeed Al Memari becomes first Arab to climb world's third highest peak

emirates7 - Emirati adventurer Saeed Al Memari has achieved an extraordinary milestone in mountain sports by reaching the summit of Kanchenjunga (8,586m), the highest peak in India and the third-highest in the world. His successful ascent followed a four-day expedition that began from the main base camp last Thursday.

At the summit, Al Memari proudly raised the UAE flag, a portrait of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ministry of Defence flag, and the Calidus Holding logo, the official sponsor of the expedition.
