Scorching temperatures sweep UAE

emirates7 - The UAE continues to endure extreme summer heat, with the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) predicting clear skies today alongside dangerously high temperatures across the country.

According to the NCM, temperatures in inland areas are expected to climb between 44°C and 48°C. Coastal regions and islands will see highs ranging from 40°C to 45°C, while mountainous areas will be relatively cooler, with temperatures between 35°C and 40°C.

The highest temperature recorded yesterday was in Sweihan, Al Ain, where the mercury hit a blistering 49.1°C at 12:30 PM — one of the hottest days recorded in the UAE this year.

Winds are expected to be light to moderate, offering minimal relief from the heat. Sea conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea will remain calm, making marine activities possible, though residents are advised to exercise caution due to the extreme heat.

Authorities are strongly advising the public to stay well-hydrated, avoid sun exposure during peak hours, and take all necessary steps to guard against heat-related health issues.
