UAE President Cup Purebred Arabian Grand Prix kicks off December 15

emirates7 - The Abu Dhabi Turf Club (ADTC) is gearing up to host the 32nd UAE President Cup Purebred Arabian Grand Prix on December 15, 2024.

Organized under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and President of ADTC, the event offers a total prize pool of AED 10.8 million.

The day will feature seven races, including the prestigious Group 1 UAE President Cup Purebred Arabian Grand Prix, boasting an impressive AED 8 million prize for its 2,200-metre race, set to attract the finest purebred Arabian horses from around the world. Additionally, the President Cup for Thoroughbreds offers a substantial prize of AED 1 million.

This year's edition sees a remarkable AED 5.2 million increase in total prize money, raising the overall pool to AED 10.8 million. The reception and barrier draw for the UAE President Cup Purebred Arabian Grand Prix will take place on December 13.

Ali Al Shaiba, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Turf Club, expressed excitement about welcoming international participants to the event, emphasizing the club's commitment to enhancing global awareness of Purebred Arabian racing and delivering an exceptional racing experience in Abu Dhabi.

Faisal Al Rahmani, President of the International Federation of Arabian Horse Racing (IFAHR) and Secretary-General of the UAE President’s Cup Series High Committee, praised the ADTC for its world-class facilities and outstanding racecourse, which has established the venue as a premier destination for international Arabian horse racing.

Mohammad Saeed Al Shehhi, General Manager and Board Member of the Emirates Racing Authority and Vice-Chair of the Asian Racing Federation, highlighted the importance of the UAE President’s Cup in advancing Arabian horse racing. He credited His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan's visionary leadership and steadfast support for elevating the event to a prominent position on the global equestrian calendar.
