Liwa International Festival 2025 kicks off December 13

emirates7 - The Liwa International Festival 2025 (LIWA 2025) will be held from December 13 to January 4 in the Al Dhafra region of Abu Dhabi. The event is expected to attract motorsports enthusiasts and families, offering an exciting mix of racing, entertainment, and cultural activities.

Set against the backof Tal Moreeb, the UAE’s tallest dune, the festival will feature a variety of thrilling motorsports events. These include the Freestyle Drift competition on December 13-14, the Buggy Torque Challenge on December 15, and the Liwa Burnout Challenge on December 19, where drivers will compete in engine-revving burnout contests. The Liwa Drift Championship will take place on December 21, showcasing professional drivers' drifting skills, followed by the Bike Drag Racing event on December 22.

The Monster Jam show, a major highlight, will be held on December 27-28, featuring the world’s largest monster truck competition and an exclusive Pit Party. The Car Stunt Championship will take place on December 30-31, with world-class drivers performing daring stunts, and the Electronic Freestyle Championship on January 1, blending motorsports with futuristic technology.

The festival will conclude with the Moreeb Dune Car Championship from January 2-4, challenging participants to conquer the iconic dunes of Liwa. Every evening, the festivities will be capped off with a fireworks display at 8 pm. Additionally, LIWA 2025 will introduce two new attractions: the Hollywood Circus, featuring acrobats, magicians, and clowns, and the Shams Liwa Ferris Wheel, offering stunning views of Tal Moreeb and the desert surroundings.
