emirates7 - Victoria Kjær Theilvig from Denmark has been crowned Miss Universe 2024, making history as the first Danish winner of the prestigious pageant. The 21-year-old, who is a competitive dancer, entrepreneur, and aspiring lawyer, triumphed over more than 120 contestants during the event in Mexico City on Saturday night.

She received a warm round of applause from fellow contestants as she accepted her tiara from the outgoing titleholder, Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua.

The event's finale featured a performance by singer Robin Thicke and was hosted by "Saved by the Bell" actor Mario Lopez and former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo.
