Dubai International Content Market concludes with enhanced global collaboration

emirates7 - The seventh edition of the Dubai International Content Market (DICM) 2024 concluded on Wednesday, bringing together top media and entertainment industry professionals from around the world.

The event attracted over 800 participants from 50 countries, with 87 exhibitors representing major media organizations and global distribution companies. More than 2,500 B2B meetings were held, showcasing the growing interest in partnerships and opportunities within this thriving sector.

DICM Talks 2024 stood out as a highlight, featuring prominent industry leaders who discussed cutting-edge trends, innovations, and strategies shaping the future of content creation, distribution, and consumption. These sessions provided valuable insights into critical aspects of the industry.

Discussions focused on topics such as the rising influence of Turkish content, opportunities through international co-productions, the growing dominance of streaming platforms, and their competitive landscape in the MENA region. Experts also delved into shifting audience preferences and emerging trends shaping the global content landscape.

Amit Devani, Director of Insights at Parrot Analytics, presented significant findings on evolving global and regional content trends. He noted a threefold increase in demand for animated content since 2021, coupled with a decline in interest in action and adventure genres.

This year’s DICM also featured a special appearance by renowned Turkish actors, adding to the event's appeal.
