UAE National domain '.ae' marks 347,000 registrations

emirates7 - The UAE’s national domain, .ae, has reached 347,000 registrations, highlighting the growing demand and trust in it among individuals, businesses, and companies.

Managed by the UAE’s Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA), the domain is continuously improved to provide advanced services and technologies that ensure security and efficiency.

The .ae domain plays a crucial role in boosting the UAE’s digital infrastructure, enhancing the country’s digital identity, and supporting the digital economy. It is a symbol of trust and credibility for businesses, individuals, and organizations, helping to validate their activities while increasing visibility and access to both local and international customers.

To further improve user experience, the National Domain Registry has introduced several features, including the "Name Ideas" service, which uses generative AI to suggest domain names for potential registrants. By simply describing their business, users can receive domain name suggestions tailored to their activities. Launched in 2023, the service has already garnered over 10,000 visits. Additionally, the .ae domain has attracted prominent companies, bringing the total number of accredited registrars to 26.

Mohammed Ibrahim Al Zarooni, Deputy Director General of the Information and Digital Government Sector, commented on the improvements, stating that due to TDRA’s ongoing efforts, the .ae domain remains a top choice for those looking to enhance their digital presence and grow in a competitive digital market. He emphasized that the .ae domain is not just an internet name, but a reflection of the UAE’s commitment to advancing its digital economy and creating new opportunities for businesses and individuals.
