The announcement was made by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, on X (formerly Twitter).
The competition features four categories: Best Youth App, Most Impactful App, Most Innovative App, and Industry of the Year: Mobile Gaming.
Sheikh Hamdan emphasized that this initiative aligns with "Dubai's outstanding achievements across various sectors, particularly in the digital economy, which is a crucial pillar in realizing the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33)."
