emirates7 - The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has opened nominations for the fourth edition of the "Urban Treasures" awards, which celebrate businesses that have made a lasting cultural impact on the emirate. These awards recognize establishments considered to be 'historically significant cultural gems' that have been serving Abu Dhabi for at least 20 years.
The public can submit nominations until 10th November, with eligible businesses spanning a range of categories, such as cafes, restaurants, bakeries, sweet shops, textile stores, tailors, perfumeries, jewelers, pharmacies, and photography studios.
Following a six-month selection process, 15 establishments will be recognized at the Urban Treasures Awards 2025 for their dedication to enhancing the city's cultural and social fabric. Winners will receive various forms of support, including branded promotional kits to showcase their Urban Treasures status to both residents and visitors.
