This release honors the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, celebrating their pivotal roles in establishing the Union and strengthening national identity and loyalty within the local community.
The gold coin weighs 40 grams and measures 40 mm in diameter. Its front side displays portraits of the two leaders, "Zayed and Rashid," while the back features the national emblem surrounded by the inscription "Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates" in both Arabic and English. The gold coin will be exclusively available for purchase at the Central Bank’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
The silver coin, weighing 50 grams with a diameter of 50 mm, also depicts the two leaders on the front. The reverse side includes the national emblem encircled by the name "Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates" in Arabic and English, along with the phrase "Commemorative Coin" in Arabic.
